Blue Lagoon Tours & Excursions
Leave the ordinary behind and join us for a 8-hour adventure aboard the St. Damian boat!
This tour blends relaxation, adventure, discovery and lots of fun. During this trip we will set sail from Split and see three of Croatia’s captivating coastal gems in the Dalmatian region. During the Blue Lagoon tour, we will explore the sea with included snorkeling equipment, live vest and then take a break in the outdoor restoraunt where our lunch takes place.
Our first destination is a hidden bay on Ciovo island called Duga Bay. The bay is typically accessible only by boat, which helps maintain its serene and unspoiled character. The clean blue water and surrounding green forests will take your breath away. Duga Bay is known for its peaceful atmosphere and a relaxing environment, making it an ideal spot to unwind away from the city crowds. While staying in Duga bay, we we will go to the restaurant where a Mediterranean lunch will be served. You can choose between grilled chicken, fish or vegetarian option. Top everything with homemade olive oil. After lunch, you can you can unwind under pine scented air, snorkel in calm shallows and enjoy the peaceful start.
Our next stop is the famous Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is a stunning bay located between the island of Drvenik Veli and the two smaller islands, Krknjaš Veli and Krknjaš Mali, in the central Dalmatian archipelago. The lagoon is famous for its incredibly clear, turquoise water and sandy seabed, creating a paradise-like setting like in the Caribbeans. The lagoon is home to a variety of fish, sea turtles, and colorful corals. Seagrasses and algae are common, and dolphins are occasionally spotted in the surrounding waters. Upon our arrival, we will drop the anchor. Once we are anchored, we will drop the bow ramp and make available other platforms on the boat that you can jump from. A large water slide is available onboard which is perfect for cooling off and having fun during our swim stops!
After the Blue lagoon lay back and relax while we set sail to our final destination which is a beautiful, traditional fisherman’s village Maslinica on Solta island. Known for its beautiful bays, the nearby archipelago of seven islets (Polebrnjak, Saskinja, Stipanska, Kamik, Balkun, Rudula and Grmej), and the historic castle built by the Marchi family, Maslinica is a perfect way to end the day with sightseeing, swimming, or just relaxing by the sea and enjoy the view.
Maslinica was originally founded in year 1703 when the aristocratic Marchi family obtained permission from Venetian authorities to build a defensive a castle with a tower to defend the village from against frequent attacks by pirates. The settlement developed around the castle with farmworkers from the regions of Dalmatian Zagora and Herzegovina, who were also engaged in fishing, agriculture and seafaring. The castle has remained the centerpiece of the village and been transformed into a beautiful 300 year old hotel. The baroque-style castle hotel was designed to be enjoyed in the Mediterranean. The construction of the castle has remained the same, with wood and stone being the dominant material that smells of olden times and history. The courtyard of the castle is full of greenery, and the beautiful Mediterranean-style terrace. Today, Maslinica is a synonym for slow life in an untouched nature where the sound of silence is mixed with the hum of wind and roar of the sea. Finding inner peace is as simple as swimming in the crystal-clear water, sunbathing, wondering on paths among olive and fig trees, or just enjoying the spectacular view!
