Over time, the land around the castle became home to families who came from inland areas such as Dalmatian Zagora and Herzegovina. These early settlers worked as farmers, fishermen, and sailors. The castle has remained the centerpiece of the village and been transformed into a beautiful 300 year old hotel. Carefully restored, the castle now welcomes guests from all over the world.
